Brief introduction to the network laboratory
网络实验室简介

    The laboratory is mainly equipped with H3C network facilities, Dell computers and a Dell server. The network facilities include Switch, Router, UTM, wireless AG, Unified Wire/wireless Switch, and Unified communications equipment, which add up to 1,500,000 RMB, covering Access Layer, Distribution Layer, Core Layer, with the facilities to imitate such network as WLAN, A large campus network, and wireless network. This laboratory is set up with the purpose to cultivate in the students the comprehensive ability in respect of network design, management and appliance. By using an authentic network environment provided by the laboratory, the students  will be able to deepen their knowledge in network principles, agreements and criteria. In this laboratory students can do switch experiments, router experiments, safety experiments, VOIP experiments, wireless network experiments and integrative network experiments.
    网络实验室主要设备有H3C网络设备、戴尔电脑与戴尔服务器，其中网络设备包括交换机、路由器、威胁管理设备、无线AG、有线无线一体化交换机和统一通信设备，设备总值达150万元，涵盖接入层、汇聚层、核心层，能够模拟宽带数据城域网、大型园区网和无线网络等网络。该实验室培养学生网络设计、网络管理和网络应用三方面的综合能力，通过提供真实的网络环境，让学生加深对网络原理、协议、标准的理解。该实验室可开设交换实验、路由实验、安全实验、VOIP实验、无线网络实验、综合网络实验等实验。

Student’s Achievements in Competitions

学生竞赛成绩

     我系学生参加全国大学生“飞思卡尔”杯智能汽车竞赛全国总决赛，取得了优异成绩，其中“茈梦”队获摄像头组全国一等奖，“seed”队获光电组全国二等奖，并在华南赛区多次获得一等奖；同时我系学生参加大学生数学建模竞赛和大学生电子设计竞赛等比赛，也多次取得优异成绩。
    The students of our department have achieved excellent results in Freescale Cup National Intelligent Car Competition for College Students. Team Dream was awarded the first-grade national prize in terms of its cameras, and Team Seed, after receiving several first-grade prizes in competitions in South China, was awarded the second-grade national prize for its photoelectrical technology. In addition, the students of our department have excelled in mathematical contests in modeling and electronic contests in designing for college students.
